September 28, 2017, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM CDT
  • University of Chicago, Crerar Library, Kathleen A. Zar Room

The University of Chicago Research Computing Center (RCC) offers workshops at all levels of expertise throughout the year, for students, faculty, and non-hospital staff. As part of this series, Greg Nawrocki from Globus is presenting a free course on "Integrating Globus into your Research Data Management Workflows" on September 28 from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Greg's talk will review the capabilities of Globus software-as-a-service and how it presents a secure, unified interface for data transfer and sharing at the University of Chicago Research Computing Centers. Participants will then take a deeper dive into services and tools comprising the Globus platform-as-a-service, and see examples of how these capabilities can be integrated into applications and workflows.

Prerequisites: Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop to participate in the hands-on exercises.
