12th Gateway Computing Environments Conference, Sheraton Hotel
Hosted at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor

The Gateways 2017 conference in Ann Arbor, Michigan is the 12th US-based gathering dedicated to the topic of science gateways. At this year's event, Globus will present a hands-on, 90-minute tutorial tutorial on Globus Auth, explaining and demonstrating how to use Globus to add data transfer features to your Web applications and science gateways.

Workshop participants will learn:

  • About Globus’s data transfer service (free service operated by the University of Chicago which is the basis for the XSEDE system’s data transfer services)
  • Why it is an easier, more powerful, and more reliable solution than alternatives
  • How to use Globus in your own applications and gateway
  • How to configure Globus for specific use cases

In addition, tutorial participants will add data transfer features to a running Web application developed in Python.
