Globus: A Data Management and Compute Platform for Accelerating Research and Discovery
Adoption of the Globus service for reliable file transfer continues its steady growth, but we’re also starting to see a growing need for our other capabilities as new data management challenges emerge. The explosion of the amount of data coming off instruments, new research data sharing policy requirements for publication of scientific data, and the availability of a wide diversity of storage systems contribute to the increased demands on system administrators in both research computing and enterprise IT.
