We're thrilled to part of the Virtual Residency Summer Workshop on "How to Be a More Effective Research Computing Facilitator." We will be presenting an overview of the Globus service and how it may be used to streamline research workflows within and beyond campus boundaries. We also forward to participating in a panel discussion on "Working Effectively with Vendors" and hope to bring a different perspective to the conversation.
More information and a complete agenda is available on the workshop's web site.
The RMACC HPC Symposium is the annual gathering of collaborating academic and research institutions located throughout the intermountain states to discuss the latest developments and best practices in high-performance research and campus computing. This is the fifth year we are supporting the symposium and, as always, look forward to engaging with new and prospective Globus users, and catching up with those who already use Globus for research data management.
We are presenting a day-long developer tutorial at SC16. Please join us to learn how services on the recently launched Globus platform can be used in your portals, science gateways, and web applications to deliver robust research data management services.

We are pleased to sponsor the conference for the seventh straight year, and will have an exhibit where attendees can meet with Globus team members. Stop by and let's discuss your research data management needs.
The Technology Exchange convenes U.S. and global technology leaders and visionaries in the fields of networking, security, trust and identity, virtualization, cloud services, high-performance computing, and storage to exchange technical ideas and knowledge. We are excited to continue our multi-year participation at the Tech Exchange and invite you to attend our presentation described below.

We're thrilled to see NCAR using Globus to distribute data from their Research Data Archive (RDA). The RDA contains a large and diverse collection of meteorological and oceanographic observations, operational and reanalysis model outputs, and remote sensing datasets to support atmospheric and geosciences research.
ISC High Performance is the preeminent conference for scientific and high-performance computing in Europe. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the conference which brings together over 2,600 international attendees and a unique conference program.
Once again, we are pleased to be selected to present a tutorial at SC. WePlease join us to learn how to deploy Globus and deliver robust data management capabilities to your organization. A particular emphasis this year will be on the recently released Globus data publication and discovery capabilities.

Using SaaS is commonplace in industry but only just starting to make inroads in higher education. This article describes the benefits of using SaaS in other areas on campus, in particular to manage the growing volumes of research data. Beyond time and cost arguments, SaaS can deliver advanced capabilities to many researchers that their campus IT would not otherwise be able to provide, thereby "democratizing" access.
