Like many web sites, Globus Sites use “cookies” to collect information. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer’s hard disk for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies for two purposes. First, we utilize persistent cookies (identified as “Persistent” in the table below) to save your account identifier and other preferences for future logins to the Globus site, to analyze site traffic and to allow users to search the sites. Second, we utilize session cookies (identified as “Session” in the table below) to enable certain features of the site, to better understand how you interact with the sites and to monitor aggregate usage by Globus Users and general web traffic on the sites. We link the information we store in cookies to the personal information you submit to us while you are on the sites. Unlike persistent cookies, session cookies are deleted from your computer when you close your browser – the table below lists the expiration period for persistent cookies.

You can instruct your browser, by changing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the web sites you visit. If you do not accept cookies, however, you may not be able to use all portions of the Sites or all the functionality of the Service. The cookies currently used by Globus and Globus Docs are described below. We also provide a page with information on how to manage cookies in your browser.
