As a senior member of the Globus team, the Director, Professional Services will lead multiple engagements with diverse organizations, in support of data-intensive research. You will manage a growing team of software professionals that help customers plan, design, implement, operate and support applications based on the Globus data management platform.

You will apply your broad technical knowledge of high-performance computing, storage, data architecture, software development, and research computing operations to develop solutions in projects spanning a wide range of disciplines. Your thought leadership and understanding of complex technical and organizational issues will help your team rapidly and effectively respond to customer requirements and meet delivery milestones within budget.

You will be expected to develop a deep technical understanding of Globus services, and identify opportunities for applying them to streamline data management and advanced computation for researchers at universities, national laboratories, federal research agencies and commercial companies. As a seasoned IT professional, you will be comfortable operating independently, with minimal supervision, and making informed strategic and technical decisions that deliver optimal results for customers. In addition to providing overall project management, you will lead by example, contributing technically to specific development efforts as needed.
