MDS 2.1 Preliminary Performance Results

With the MDS 2.1 release, the GRIS and GIIS backends have been enhanced in a number of ways for increased performance. Although this is not a comprehensive performance analysis, we have provided the preliminary results of our performance and scalability testing.

Table 2.1Perf.1 shows in number of seconds, how much time each of the core GRIS provider probes required to execute on various platforms. This data reflects the performance of querying the GRIS directly.

Note that execution time was determined by running the information provider probes manually, thus these numbers do not include overhead from slapd an the LDAP protocol.
